Manannán Anglesey hostelling
November 2, 2018 All day
The Manannán troop will be going to Anglesey in Wales for our end-of-year hostelling trip in November.
We will be getting the ferry from Dublin Port to Holyhead on the Friday afternoon, 2 November, and returning to Dublin by ferry on the Sunday afternoon, 4 November. We will be staying in Anglesey Outdoors hostel, and activities will be arranged through the hostel. A full itinerary will be provided closer to the time. The total cost per person of this trip will be €160.
As this is an international trip, every Scout must have a valid passport. A European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) is not required for Irish citizens visiting the UK, but a form of identification (i.e. passport) is required. While some Scouts may have their own travel insurance, we are required to insure all Scouts travelling abroad through Scouting Ireland’s own travel insurance scheme to ensure that they are fully insured on all activities while abroad.
In order to complete the required paperwork for National Office, we will need confirmation of attendance for each Scout by early September. For further information on this trip, please contact the Section Leaders.
